Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, revealed that, as new COVID-19 clusters had been reported at entertainment and amusement places in Thong Lor area (Sukhumvit Soi 55), Vadhana District, the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) had adjusted the vaccination allocation plan for the second lot of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines, totaling 100,000 doses, which the BMA received from the Government. The arrangement will be as follows: 1. 2,000 doses for officers of district offices who have a chance to be exposed to COVID-19; 2. 2,000 doses for at-risk people to control the pandemic at Bang Khae markets and its neighborhoods; 3. 1,800 doses for COVID-19 control in other areas where the next pandemic could emerge; and 4. 4,200 doses for COVID-19 control among clusters in Thong Lor area or at-risk group of 2,100 people comprising 400 frontline officers at the area and 1,700 at-risk people from disease investigation. It is expected that within April 2021, the Government will allocate the third lot of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines to the BMA. The BMA will have enough COVID-19 vaccines for the control of COVID-19 pandemic in the area of Bangkok Metropolis. The best way for vaccination administration and allocation will be carefully considered to curb the pandemic.
