Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, welcomed Thailand’s Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, and his delegation during the site visit to COVID-19 vaccination service unit outside hospital at 3rd floor Sky Hall, Central Plaza Lat Phrao, Chatuchak District.
The vaccination service unit outside hospital located at Central Plaza Lat Phrao is one of the fourteen vaccination service units under the cooperation of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), Board of Trade of Thailand, Ramathibodi Hospital, and Phramongkutklao Hospital. This vaccination service unit is ready to fully provide COVID-19 vaccination service according to the safety steps. For example, it has already prepared registration area, height and weight measurements area, blood pressure measurement area, vaccination area, and waiting area for observation after vaccination. It can provide service to 1,000 people per day from 08.00 to 17.00 hrs. The first target group includes frontline officers who work in curbing the spread of disease and people from occupational risk groups who has a chance to have close contact with many people. They are those who have already registered with the BMA Health Department for vaccination.
Initially, the BMA, in cooperation with the Board of Trade of Thailand, network hospitals, and other related organizations, has arranged privately owned places to provide COVID-19 vaccination service outside hospital. At present, 14 places are ready to provide services. In this regard, the Board of Trade of Thailand has proposed additional 11 places for vaccination service which are in the process of preparing necessary materials and equipment and manpower.
