Pol.Lt.Gen. Sopon Pisuttiwong, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, chaired the meeting of the BMA’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (BMA-CCSA), no. 37/2021. The BMA-CCSA meeting has adjusted plans for the BMA-CCSA meeting to only once a week. The meeting will be held on Tuesdays at 13.30 hrs., at Rattanakosin Room, Bangkok City Hall (Sao Chingcha) so that Directors of District Offices can participate in the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration of the Ministry of Interior which is held every day and effectively manage the government affairs and activities of the district offices.
Regarding the preparedness for the opening of the first school term of academic year 2021, the meeting assigned the BMA Health Department to request more COVID-19 vaccines to speed up inoculations of teachers, educational personnel, and officers of the BMA affiliated schools. As for teachers, educational personnel, and officers of schools under the Ministry of Education and other organizations, each respective organization must request for COVID-19 vaccines directly from the Department of Disease Control of the Ministry of Public Health and coordinate with hospitals or health facilities to provide vaccination service.
In this regard, the BMA Education Department will hold an online teleconference and invite administrators of the BMA affiliated schools and district office administrators to participate in the meeting on Friday June 11, 2021 to rehearse practice guidelines and prepare for the opening of the first school term of academic year 2021.
