Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Thailand paid a courtesy call on
the Governor of Bangkok
On 10th November 2020 at 09.00 a.m., H.E. Mr. Geoffrey Quinton Mitchell Doidge, the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to Thailand, together with Mr. Tselani Raymond Ndawonde, First Secretary, and Mr. Thepbanlue Chadkrabuanpol, Information Officer, paid the farewell call on Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, the Governor of Bangkok, at Amornphimarn Room, Bangkok City Hall. On this occasion, the BMA Executives such as Deputy Governors of Bangkok, Chairman of Advisors to Governor of Bangkok, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the BMA jointly welcomed the Ambassador and his delegation.
The Governor of Bangkok mentioned the discussion on the cooperation of Nano Bubble Technology for wastewater treatment between the Department of Drainage and Sewage and Fine Bubble Technologies Thailand, a company specializing in Nano Bubble Technology for wastewater treatment, and the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa acted as the coordinator. Up to now, there were two meetings for discussion on the cooperation organized in March and July 2019. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, both sides still consider the suitable time to operate mutually after the pandemic. On this occasion, the Ambassador thanked the Governor of Bangkok and the BMA’s executives for the warm welcome and it was an honor to meet the Governor of Bangkok to bid farewell on the completion of his tenure in Thailand and discontinuation of service to the government in December 2020. After the completion of the term, he will act as a business consultant for South African companies and will still sustain good relations forever with Thailand, especially the BMA. Nevertheless, the Ambassador confirms to pass on the works to the new Ambassador, as well as further support and push on the cooperation between Thailand and South Africa, including Nano Bubble Technology.
