Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, welcomed Thailand’s Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, and his delegation during the site visit to COVID-19 vaccination service venues outside hospital, namely, “Chamchuri Square Vaccination Service Center” located at 4th floor of Chamchuri Square Building, Chulalongkorn University and “Cooperative COVID-19 Vaccination Service Unit: Bangkok Metropolitan Administration – Board of Trade of Thailand” located at Samyan Mitrtown Shopping Mall in Pathum Wa district.
The “Chamchuri Square Vaccination Service Center” is implemented under the project to set up COVID-19 vaccination service point of Chulalongkorn University (CU COVID-19 Vaccination Program: CU PV). System has been prepared to provide safe vaccination service with complete vaccination steps that also covers caring and observing of symptoms after vaccination. It can provide vaccination service to 1,000 people/day from 08.30 to 16.30 hrs. The target group are the people at high-risk of contracting COVID-19, namely, teachers, professors, lecturers, education personnel, and people providing services to the public such as employees of Bangkok Mass Transit Authority. Reservation for service must be made in advance via “Ped Thai Su Phai (Thai ducks fight danger) QueQ”. The center will be ready for providing service from May 17, 2021 onwards.
After that, at 15.00 hrs., the Prime Minister and his delegation visited another COVID-19 vaccination service venue outside hospital, “Cooperative COVID-19 Vaccination Service Unit: Bangkok Metropolitan Administration – Board of Trade of Thailand”, and inspected its system testing at Samyan Mitrtown Shopping Mall in Pathum Wan district. This is the cooperation of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Board of Trade of Thailand, and King Chulalongkorn Memorial Hospital in providing COVID-19 vaccination service. The testing of service providing system had been conducted at various steps such as systems at service and waiting area before registration, registration area to fill in personal information for the issuance of COVID-19 vaccination card, blood pressure measurement area to check the physical fitness and readiness, history-checking area, vaccination area, and waiting area for 30-minute observation after vaccination and issuance of Certificate of COVID-19 Vaccination. It can provide vaccination service to approximately 1,500 people during 08.00 – 17.00 hrs. The group of vaccine recipients will be frontline personnel and officers who work in curbing the spread of disease and people from occupational risk groups who have a chance to have close contact with many people. They are those who have already registered with the BMA Health Department in advance for vaccination service.
