On 23rd July 2020, Mr. Nirunde Praditkul, Chairman of Bangkok Metropolitan Council, chaired the sitting of the Bangkok Metropolitan Council (BMC). Today, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) proposed the draft of BMA Ordinance on Service Charges for Solid Waste or Sewage Management according to the Laws on Public Health (No. … B.E. …). The new BMA Ordinance on Service Charges for Solid Waste or Sewage Management was set to be effective on 1 October 2020. However, the current situation of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has hugely impacted the entire national economy which is significant to the livelihood and income of a large number of people. Therefore, in order to relieve suffering and alleviate the financial burden of the Bangkok residents, the BMA issued the new draft of BMA Ordinance. Amendment was only on the date that the BMA Ordinance shall come into force, changing from 1 October 2020 to 1 October 2021, and the BMC resolved to approve the said draft of BMA Ordinance.
