Mrs. Silapasuai Rawisaengsun, Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), revealed that as the Thailand’s Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA) announced agreed to have the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration Emergency Medical Service Center or Erawan Center under the BMA Medical Service Department appointed as the center for hospital bed management for COVID-19 patient in Bangkok. The BMA, by the Medical Service Department, has already prepared the Erawan Center to perform its duty of information center for hospital bed management for COVID-19 patients in the area of Bangkok Metropolis. Operational guidelines of the information center for management and referral of COVID-19 patients in Bangkok, to work together with other related organizations, have been determined in order to increase efficiency of its operation to become faster. Disease screening teams were divided based on district zones as follows: North Bangkok and East Bangkok zones by Busarakam Hospital; Central Bangkok and South Bangkok by Nimitbut Center; and North Thon Buri and South Thon Buri zones by Bang Khun Thian Geriatric Hospital.

With regard to the guidelines to integrate cooperation with the Ministry of Public Health and other related organizations with the aim to increase efficiency in the management of admission and referral system of patients, operational structure has been divided into 4 sections, namely, planning section, operation section, patient transportation section, and finance section.
