Mr. Chatree Wattanakhajorn, Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) together with Mr. Wirat Manassanitwong, Director-General of the BMA Environment Department received 50 red garbage bins (120 liters) and 5,000 red garbage bags from the representatives of PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited. The BMA will disseminate these garbage bins and garbage bags to Local Quarantine (LQ) facilities and the BMA affiliated hospitals or other suitable places.
Red garbage bins are the waste container with flat hinged cover. The lid can be lifted by pressing on the foot pedal to reduce contact with the garbage bin. Red garbage bags are made of InnoPlus, which is high quality plastic materials, durable, strong, tough, with moisture protection. It receives Carbon Label Certificate to guarantee the environmental-friendly feature of the plastic granules and safe waste collection. These garbage bins and garbage bags are provided with clear description on how to dispose waste and they will be used for the disposal of the used surgical face masks only. This will help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other diseases contaminated with the used surgical face masks.
