Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, chaired the meeting to follow up the progress of Phadung Krung Kasem Canal’s landscape improvement project.

At the meeting, it was agreed to divide the implementation of the Phadung Krung Kasem Canal’s landscape improvement project into 6 phases. At first, it will start with the Charoen Sawat Intersection – Kasat Suek Intersection section, the total length is 1,250 meters. At present, it is in the process of designing and requesting for budget allocation. Initially, it is estimated to use 100 million baht for the implementation of this project. Once the budget allocation is approved, the BMA will advance the implementation in accordance with the Public Procurement and Supplies Administration Regulation and can start to implement the project in August – September 2021.

The improvement of Phadung Krung Kasem Canal’s landscape will be the integration of all aspects considering beauty and versatility of functions such as being a place for relaxation and exercise, as well as thoroughfare taking into consideration public safety and convenience such as guardrails, walkways, tree planted areas, lighting poles, dams, and parking lots.
