At Erawan 2 Hospital (Bangkok Arena Sports Center) Nong Chok district: Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, welcomed Thailand’s Prime Minister, General Prayut Chan-o-cha, and his delegation during the site visit to inspect the BMA field hospital. In this regard, the relevant organizations were assigned by the Prime Minister to place importance on the administration of service provision in terms of access to the public, hotlines, vehicles for pick-up service, referral service, and connection between hospitals in the network as well as vaccine administration before providing vaccines to the public.
The field hospital set up at Bangkok Arena Sports Center in Nong Chok district (Erawan 2 Hospital) is the 4th field hospital of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA). It can accommodate 400 beds for the asymptomatic COVID-19 patients or the Green COVID-19 patients for treatment and monitoring of symptoms, divided into 180 beds for male patients and 220 beds for female patients. Distance between each bed is 1.5 meters. Bedding, drinking water, and necessary items are provided. This includes other facilitations such as the provision of 3 meals and Wi-Fi signal, and the implementation to fully prevent and control Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection based on the standards prescribed by the Ministry of Public Health. The BMA is ready to take care of the public in all aspects including safety and security measure. CCTV cameras are installed with 24-hour security guards comprising officers of District Office, police officers from police station in the locality, and security guards of the sports center. Moreover, officers will clearly inform rules and regulations to all infected persons before admission to the field hospital. Brochures and QR codes with information on how to behave while in the field hospital are also provided.
