Pol.Capt. Pongsakorn Kwanmuang, BMA Spokesman, revealed that as the situation of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic tended to be better, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) would provide kayaking and Stand Up Paddle (SUP) boarding service along Ong Ang Canal again starting from Friday March 5, 2021 onwards. The BMA will provide and lend kayaks and paddle boards for the people to enjoy practicing or trying kayaking and paddle boarding, 30 minutes free for each person. Life vests are provided together with officers who will give suggestion and assistance in doing this activity. The BMA therefore invites the general public to visit and join “Ong Ang Walking Street” which is regularly held on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, from 16.00 – 20.00 hrs. This will help stimulate tourism and boost local economy for communities. Activities include tasting scrumptious food, shopping for cute products, taking photo with street arts and glow-in-the-dark pictures. In this regard, the people are requested to strictly comply with measures to control and prevent the spread of COVID-19, such as to have body temperature screening before entering the premise, register via ThaiChana application before entering and leaving the premise, wash hands with alcohol-based hand sanitizer, and wear surgical face mask at all times.
