(January 25, 2021) Bangkok City Hall (Sao Chingcha): Pol.Gen. Aswin Kwanmuang, Governor of Bangkok, presided over the ceremony to receive equipment to support the BMA’s operation to prevent and control the spread of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) from the representative of Singha Estate Public Company Limited. The equipment includes 200,000 waste disposal bags for hazardous waste, infectious waste, and hazardous chemicals (red bags), 36 x 45 inches, worth a total of 101,605 Baht. The BMA Environment Department will use these waste disposal bags for sorting of infectious waste, surgical face masks, and hazardous waste to be properly and correctly disposed. This will help reduce the transmission of Coronavirus Disease 2019 for the safety of the general public and officers in charge.
After that, the Governor of Bangkok received 170 SIM cards, worth 400,000 baht, from representative of True Corporation Public Company Limited. SIM card plan includes 800 minutes calls and 20GB of Internet for 3 months, free of charge. The BMA Health Department will use these SIM cards for disease investigation and for the operation of Emergency Operation Center or EOC and 68 BMA public health centers in preventing Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).
