Accelerating active case findings for COVID-19 infected persons and bringing them into care and treatment system as soon as possible will prevent the spread of disease and reduce the number of new confirmed cases and deaths. To date, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has continued to speed up finding COVID-19 patients by setting up COVID-19 active case finding units in rotation among all districts to search for infected persons. After the service has been provided at all districts, the BMA decided to adjust these active case finding units into 6 main COVID-19 screening units in the areas of 6 district zones starting from August 7, 2021. The 6 screening unit comprises: 

1.                   Central Bangkok Zone: the unit is located at Kilaphat 2 Sports Field on Rama VI Road in Ratchathewi District and can accommodate 500 people per day. Queue can be reserved day by day at the unit starting from 06.30 hrs. More information, please call 0 2354 4212.

2.                   North Bangkok Zone: the unit is located at Government Complex at Chaeng Watthana Road, Lak Si District and can accommodate 1,000 people per day. Queue can be reserved day by day at the unit starting from 07.00 hrs.  More information, please call 0 2982 2081-2.

3.                   East Bangkok Zone: the unit is located at Chaloem Phrakiat 72 Phansa Stadium, Min Buri District and can accommodate 700 people per day. Queue can be reserved day by day at the unit starting from 06.00 hrs.  More information, please call 0 2836 9999 ext. 3621 and 3622.

4.                   South Bangkok Zone: the unit is located at Lumphini Park Happy Center, Pathum Wan District and can accommodate 500 people per day. Queue can be reserved 1 day in advance via “QueQ” Application starting from 07.00 hrs. More information, please call 0 2214 1044.

5.                   North Thon Buri Zone: the unit is located at under Rama VIII Bridge, Bang Phlat District and can accommodate 400 people per day. Queue can be reserved both 1 day in advance via “QueQ” Application for 200 queues, starting from 08.00 hrs., and day by day at the unit for 200 queues, starting from 07.30 hrs. 6.                   South Thon Buri Zone: the unit is located at Bang Khae Phirom Market, Bang Khae District and can accommodate 600 people per day. Queue can be reserved day by day at the unit starting from 08.00 hrs.  More information, please call 0 2415 0157.

All COVID-19 screening units perform screening test using Antigen Test Kit (ATK) which can provide test result within 30 minutes. If tested positive for COVID-19, infected persons will then be referred to undergo an RT-PCR test to confirm the results at the same screening unit. If the result is confirmed to be positive, Thai medicinal herb “Fa Thalai Chon” or Favipiravir will be provided at the discretion of the physician. They will be brought into care and treatment system.

          In this regard, people who wish to have screening test must prepare Thai National Identity Card together with a copy and personal blue ink pen for registration to avoid cross contamination from using things with other people. The public are requested for kind cooperation to strictly abide by the personal protection measures against COVID-19 (D-M-H-T-T-A).
